In the intense youth-driven sport of skateboarding there are some fairly critical components every boarder needs. The first bit of skateboarding equipment is pretty self explanatory to the sport: you need a skateboard. It is the only real piece of equipment required, other than a good setting. The most common other piece of equipment is a skateboarding helmet. These are typically hard plastic composites that are form fitted with foam pads to cushion blows and are highly valued. The helmets also give the board some customization as they can customize the helmet to their personality of preferred set or sets of gear.
Other common skateboarding equipment are pads for your knees and elbows, and occasionally cushions for your wrists. If you out and about street boarding, you will also probably need some wax. It is imperative that you verify with any property owners that it is okay to apply wax, as it turns black permanently. If you don’t you could be sued or arrested, which is a pretty crappy way to be board-prohibited. Better to voluntarily restrict that have the enforcement arm of the government hunting you, although some of the seeming lawlessness has a great appeal to both the advertising arm of gear companies and those that don them.
